Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in product research in an applied research setting, or similar.
  • Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field.
  • Experience navigating the complexities of AI technologies to facilitate integrated ecosystems that connect people and products, driving user engagement across platforms.
  • Experience driving 0-to-1 product development through strategic, human-centered research.
  • Experience in quantitative research design utilizing various methods (e.g., descriptive statistics, multivariate data visualization, multivariate regression, logs analytics, and text analytics).
  • Knowledge of qualitative methods (e.g. usability testing, contextual inquiry, diary study, RITE, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Drive complex research programs to identify high-value opportunities for our team and across our product area partners while managing priorities and high-profile initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Product, Data Science, UX Design, UX Writing, Engineering, and Marketing leaders to drive product strategy and ensure product excellence through strategic and tactical research.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-framing, build upon existing knowledge, integrate appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods, and deliver excellence in research execution and communication of insights.
  • Leverage a quantitative methodological toolsets (e.g., surveys, logs analysis, experiments) and qualitative methods (e.g. usability testing, contextual inquiry, diary study, RITE, etc.).
  • Facilitate healthy team dynamics, build cross-functional relationships, and increase adoption of strategic/tactical research insights at the team, product, and organizational level.
