Our client is a growing, state-of-the-art private veterinary practice in the Boston area seeking an experienced Senior Veterinarian to join and help lead its team. This is more than a clinical role, it is a career defining opportunity for a seasoned DVM ready to take the next step into leadership.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in building and mentoring a high-performing veterinary team. This position offers a clear path to Director of Operations, with oversight of multiple facilities.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of veterinarian experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
- Licensed or Eligible to obtain a Massachusetts State Veterinary License.
- Strong surgical, diagnostic, and clinical communication skills.
- Leadership mindset with a desire to grow into a Director of Operations role.
Scope of work:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries in companion animals, primarily dogs and cats, both medically and surgically.
- Perform dental procedures and administer core vaccinations.
- Counsel clients on preventive care and overall pet wellness.
- Collaborate with referring veterinarians and work within our broader veterinary ecosystem.
- Partner with the Regional Operations Manager and Hospital Manager to maintain high clinical standards and exceptional patient care.
- Contribute to team culture, making the workplace enjoyable for staff, clients, and patients alike.
- Participate in continuing education, seminars, and professional development to stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
- Manage time effectively and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
