Position: Senior Veterinarian

Position Overview:

As a Senior Veterinarian, you will play a crucial role in providing the highest quality of care to our clients' beloved pets. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care to ensure the overall health and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions in animals

- Develop and implement treatment plans for various illnesses and injuries

- Perform surgeries, including spaying and neutering, tumor removals, and orthopedic procedures

- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed

- Monitor and maintain accurate medical records for all patients

- Communicate with pet owners about their pet's health and provide recommendations for ongoing care

- Oversee and mentor junior veterinarians and support staff

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and techniques

- Ensure compliance with all veterinary laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Qualifications:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian

- Current license to practice veterinary medicine/Eligible to obtain Connecticut State Veterinary License

- Strong surgical skills and experience with a variety of procedures

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
