Position Summary
The SVP of Acquisitions will be a key member of the team, working closely with the Executive Management team and reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape Griffin Capital’s multifamily acquisition platform at a time of continued strategic growth. The position will lead multifamily acquisition activity for the Western half of United States. This includes the acquisition of existing assets and working with development partners to acquire development sites. A key to success is meaningful relationships with developers and investment sale brokers as well as the ability to effectively underwrite potential multifamily/housing investments. The role is responsible for all functions in the acquisition process including sourcing/identifying potential investments, financial underwriting and modeling, market analysis, due diligence, leading purchase and sale negotiations with existing asset sellers, leading joint venture agreement negotiations with developers, and preparing materials and presenting investments to the CIO and Investment Committee.

Benefits and Salary
The starting base salary range is $260,000-$340,000 annually*, plus annual bonus. Base salary will be determined based on factors including work location, depth and relevance of experience, internal equity, and market conditions. This role may be based in El Segundo, CA or another major metropolitan market in the Western United States, and compensation will be adjusted accordingly.
