About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Legal Services and Compliance to serve as its chief legal and compliance counselor. The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors and overseeing the organization's legal, compliance, governance, privacy, and risk management functions. This role requires a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, an active license to practice law in the State of Louisiana, and a minimum of ten years of legal experience, with a focus on healthcare law and hospital compliance programs. The SVP will be responsible for ensuring compliance with a wide range of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, as well as leading the organization's response to legal and compliance issues.Key responsibilities for the Senior Vice President include serving as the primary legal advisor to executive leadership, monitoring changes in healthcare law, and providing guidance on their impact. The role also involves overseeing organizational compliance, collaborating with various teams on legal and compliance matters, and managing a variety of legal issues, including contracts, transactions, and litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare transactions, contract negotiations, governance, employment law, and risk management, and will be adept at balancing legal risk with the company's operational and strategic objectives. Experience in a healthcare organization or related legal setting is strongly preferred, and the candidate should have a proven track record of advising on complex legal, compliance, and regulatory matters.
