Job Description

We are seeking a RTC Voice Access and Security Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in carrier/transport, SIP access, and session border controller technologies and a proven ability to deliver engineering documentation, program schedules, and executive-ready communications while driving telephony platform upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide program guidance and develop program timelines in partnership with the program management office.
  • Develop ROM/SOW estimates for equipment placement and licensing.
  • Create project documentation including BOMs, cost estimates, and equipment placement requests.
  • Directly support business-initiated projects and provide status updates to leadership.
  • Deliver engineering documentation and communication materials for senior leadership and C-level stakeholders.
  • Provide local software and hardware support for SBC, security services, E911, SIP and session management, LAN/WAN, VoIP, and toll-free engineering with integrations to Avaya, Cisco, and Genesys.
  • Complete SIT testing, document results, and develop scripts, MOPs, and low-level designs for implementation and configuration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of telecommunications experience, including carrier-level SIP trunking and session border controllers.
  • Proficiency with SIP, RTP/RTCP, ISDN, H.323, H.248, MGCP, and codecs.
  • Experience with QoS configurations, jitter analysis, tuning, and bandwidth analysis.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN communications, switches, and routers; 3-5 years in LAN/WAN networking.
  • Extensive understanding of call flows, system architecture, design principles, and implementation methods.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with ability to learn and document new technologies and procedures.
  • Experience in complex multi-layered network environments and cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including PowerPoint, Visio, structured updates, and executive presentations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Ribbon 7k Session Border Controllers and SIP/TDM trunking.
  • Experience supporting integrations with Avaya, Cisco, and Genesys in enterprise environments.
