What success looks like

• Field leadership: You organize crews, set daily goals, and keep production moving smoothly.
• Technical execution: You turn blueprints and shop drawings into accurate layouts and finished structures.
• Material stewardship: You oversee takeoffs, selection, and timely procurement of lumber, fasteners, and marine hardware.
• Safety excellence: You uphold safety standards and regulatory requirements at every step.
• Quality control: You inspect active work, correct deviations, and document progress.
• Cross-team alignment: You collaborate with project managers and other trades to hit milestones.
• Talent development: You mentor emerging carpenters and model best practices.
• Housekeeping: You maintain clean, organized, and efficient jobsites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade or vocational training in carpentry/marine construction is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of marine carpentry or related field experience.
• Track record of supervising and leading craft teams.
• Expertise with woodworking techniques, marine materials, and industry tools.
• Ability to interpret and apply blueprints and technical drawings.
• Sharp problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced setting and managing multiple concurrent projects.
