Team OverviewGenerations Consulting is a team within the Private Wealth area that serves as the planning and investment consultation group supporting the delivery of financial planning services and implementation through investment solutions to high net worth (HNW) clients. We collaborate across Edward Jones home office teams and external third‑party relationships to deliver personalized advice with a particular focus on financial planning, portfolio strategy, and guidance on complex wealth management strategies. The Generations Consulting Team partners with branch teams to deliver a comprehensive review and analysis of HNW clients' financial planning needs and provides tailored financial strategies to help clients reach their goals.What You Will DoSenior Wealth Strategists partner with home office and third‑party experts to support financial advisors and deliver the high‑quality Advice, Planning, Products, and Services (APPS) required to meet our High Net Worth clients' wealth management and estate planning needs. You will be called upon as an estate planning subject matter expert, on the firm's full suite of financial planning tools, investment offerings, and how they're leveraged to help clients define their financial goals and identify solutions to keep them on‑track. Additionally, you will apply knowledge of financial planning disciplines to unique client circumstances and work directly with branch teams and their clients.ResponsibilitiesServe as a subject matter expert for complex cases requiring deep financial planning expertise, including goal‑based planning, income planning, protection, estate, and tax considerations.Communicate with financial advisors and clients to understand needs, articulate planning strategies, document goals, and build relationships.Partner with internal and external experts to deliver high‑quality holistic plans aligned with client financial goals.Stay abreast of planning concepts, market trends, regulatory changes, and evolving tools to support branch teams.Lead initiatives to improve planning processes, tools, and guidance for HNW clients.Interpret and leverage firm guidance to create tailored planning solutions.Support Financial Advisors in evaluating strategies and presenting planning recommendations to clients.What Experience You Need9+ years' experience in the Financial Services IndustrySeries 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hireInsurance license required within 6 months of hireCFP designation required (or in progress per department policy)Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Law required.Ability to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance to support the branch in creating a tailored solution for each client.Deep understanding of financial planning concepts and applicationAbility to review financial statements, planning documents, and identify planning opportunities.Proficiency using financial planning software or tools and interpreting resultsWhat Could Set You ApartAdvanced degree (MBA, JD, CPA, CFA, or other financial planning specialization).Mastery of financial planning, investment strategies, tax planning, and estate planning.Exceptional communication and presentation skills.Experience working with HNW clients and complex planning needs.Strong analytic ability to assess advanced financial situations and deliver tailored solutions.Understanding of Financial Advisor and Branch Team Support Member(s) structureExtensive experience dealing with high net worth clients and addressing their complex financial needs.Ability to support a financial advisor in evaluating solutions‑based strategies for client needsLocation RequirementsCandidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.Edward Jones does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, pregnancy, veteran status, genetic information or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.BenefitsEdward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short‑and long‑term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage.
