Seeking a Senior Work Control Planner to provide support to our federal government client in Aiken, SC.

Requirements:
The Contractor will develop and/or review of large and complex work packages including written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance or modification work activities within a given area.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review and issue large and/or complex equipment and/or system modification work packages
Review understanding and interpretation of various engineering, design, technical and vendor prints, drawings, schematics, documents, diagrams, and specifications to ensure design information sufficient to develop modifications for electrical/mechanical systems
Development may also include a physical walk down of the area or system to identify potentially hazardous conditions or configuration anomalies
Provide work control package technical review for quality and consistency as well as provide work guidance and instruction to other work control personnel in a lead or coordinating capacity
Analyze time and material requirements for work activity
Prepare, review and issue corrective maintenance work packages
Develop and issue preventive maintenance records and work packages
Discuss and interface on problems and concerns with associated work control/work package activity with site organizations
Provide technical advice regarding maintenance and work control to facility management or work control personnel in any of number of potential specialty areas either in an engineering or subject matter expert capacity
Work Hours:
A 40 hour work week is scheduled. The client utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes client's holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager. The Anticipated Work Schedule is from Mon-Thurs 6:00a-4:30pm.
Area Security Access: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance.
Qualifications
Required:
The ability to understand and interpret various electrical and mechanical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics
Ability to utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system in maintaining and tracking work planning activities
A working knowledge of DOE, Federal and state regulations as well as existing engineering and quality assurance standards and procedures
A comprehensive understanding of site work control procedures and work practices, radiological control, quality assurance, configuration management, material control and procedures for both maintenance and operations related areas
A thorough understanding from a conceptual level of various processes, systems, and equipment
Understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configuration and lockout point identification
Ability to coordinate the work of teams, set and meet goals and objectives and prioritize work is important
Education:
Bachelor''''s degree in a non-technical discipline and at least 4-5 years of practical experience in work control, materials management, E&I / mechanical maintenance, or related areas OR
Associate''''s degree in a technical or mechanical area and at least 8 years of practical experience OR
High school diploma and at least 10-12 years of practical experience would also be considered equivalent
Preferred:
Possession of an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years
Previous SRS or DOE facility work planner experience within the last 3 years
NOTE: US Citizenship is required to perform this government contract job.
