Duration: 2 months contractJob Description:We are hiring a Senior Workday Integration & Extend Consultant to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise integrations and applications across Workday HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, identity platforms, vendor management, and third-party benefits providers.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who can translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions while working within established integration architecture, security, and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, enhance, and support integrations across Workday HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, identity/access platforms, vendor management systems, and external benefits providers.
- Develop and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS/WQL, REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs.
- Build and support integrations for benefits administration and Open Enrollment, including connections with healthcare and benefits providers.
- Develop Workday Extend applications, including custom objects, validations, orchestration-backed workflows, and other approved extensions.
- Apply enterprise integration patterns for API-led, event-driven, asynchronous, and fault-tolerant integrations.
- Design and implement appropriate error handling, retries, monitoring, logging, data validation, and recovery mechanisms.
- Work with XML, XSLT, JSON, and other data transformation and mapping technologies.
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs, interface specifications, data mappings, and implementation plans.
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Security, and technology stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and deliver production-ready solutions.
- Follow organizational standards for integration architecture, API management, security, development, testing, and deployment.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, testing, release activities, and ongoing production support.
- Apply a strong understanding of the Workday data model and Workday security, including domains, segments, security groups, and business processes.

Required Qualifications- 5–8+ years of software, application, or enterprise systems engineering experience, with significant experience working on enterprise platforms.
- 4+ years of hands-on Workday development with substantial experience across:
- Workday Studio
- EIB
- Core Connectors
- Workday Extend
- Orchestration
- RaaS / WQL
- Strong experience developing and integrating REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs.
- Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, and enterprise data transformation patterns.
- Demonstrated experience designing or owning integration architecture, including event-driven integration, API gateway patterns, resiliency, and fault-tolerant design.
- Strong understanding of the Workday data model and security fundamentals, including domains, segments, business processes, and security groups.
- Experience with an iPaaS platform, such as MuleSoft or Workato.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Workday Integration or Workday Extend certification preferred/required.
Preferred Experience- Enterprise HR technology and HCM ecosystem integrations.
- Benefits and Open Enrollment integrations.
- Payroll and third-party vendor integrations.
- Identity and access integrations involving platforms such as Okta or Active Directory.
- Vendor management / contingent workforce integrations.
- Experience supporting integration platforms in large, complex global environments.
Education:- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (B.E./B.Tech/MCA), or equivalent practical experience.
