Job Description and Duties

Interested in being instrumental in the performance of an assigned book of brokers and being the face of State Fund? If YES, then look no further!

State Fund Field Operations has an opening for a driven Senior Marketing Representative who will play a pivotal role in managing key broker relationships and success in the Los Angeles Territory.

Under the supervision of the Regional Marketing Manager, the incumbent will:

  • Physically visit and meet with brokers in order to develop, maintain and strengthen business relations with key stakeholders in assigned book of brokerages
  • Provide brokers with regular updates as to their book performance and progress towards incentive goals
  • Solicit new business opportunities in accordance with Regional Operational goals and guidelines
  • Collaborate with Underwriting and other functions (Loss Prevention, Auditing and Claims) when soliciting both new and renewal business
  • Engage and provide education to our broker community by leading / facilitating instructional seminars and meetings

Working Conditions

Candidates in the Los Angeles (Greater Los Angeles area)

This position will require regular field work in Los Angeles County and occasional overnight travel in California for training and customer meetings. You will also be required to travel weekly throughout the assigned local territory (usually day trips) to meet with customers.

Employee may need to attend periodic meetings in Pasadena, Vacaville, and other State Fund office locations. The ideal candidate will reside in Los Angeles County.

The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.

Special Requirements

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period in accordance with the applicable bargaining contract.
