Job Summary (List Format) Senior zTPF Systems Engineer

- Serve as a technical expert bridging legacy mainframe (zTPF) systems and modern digital architectures.
- Design, develop, and test complex, high-volume zTPF reservation applications using Assembler, C, and C++.
- Build and maintain interfaces between TPF and external systems utilizing MQ, JSON/XML, and SOA principles.
- Modernize legacy functionalities by transitioning them into API-driven, modern architectures using TPF Toolkit and SDLC best practices.
- Manage and optimize complex data structures with TPFDF for high-speed processing and data integrity.
- Lead end-to-end testing cycles, particularly API validation using Postman.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve high-priority system issues.
- Analyze and tune system performance to support large-scale transactional workloads.
- Apply sophisticated analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex SOA environment.
- Ensure seamless integration and connectivity with modern Web Services and RESTful APIs.
- Leverage advanced technical proficiency in zTPF Assembler, C/C++, and related tooling.
- Contribute to the improvement of mission-critical transportation network systems, directly impacting millions of passengers.
- Bring strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- (Preferred) Experience with Amtrak systems or large-scale passenger reservation systems is a plus.
