By working with diverse teams of subject matter experts, you will lead and influence critical project outcomes from conceptual analysis through to the creation and evaluation of sophisticated systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing undersea acoustic solutions and steering advanced maritime system projects. Collaborate across disciplines to resolve intricate design challenges, adhering to stringent technical standards, and partake in hands-on at-sea experimental work.
Requirements: A Master’s or PhD in a technical discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Ocean Engineering, or related fields. Proven record of working alongside senior technical personnel to create solutions tailored to client demands. Strong proficiency in acoustic communication systems and circuit design, combined with superb communication abilities for engaging with project leaders and clients. Solid grasp of physics and mathematics as applied in engineering contexts.
Preferred: Mastery in managing large-scale, interdisciplinary technical projects, or leadership experience within U.S. Navy undersea warfare. Familiarity with the full spectrum of the technology development cycle, from ideation to deployment, and experience with intricate undersea systems development linked to PCB design, embedded software, and data handling. At least a year's experience in wireless or underwater communication systems design.
