Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) - New Graduate role provides nursing and patient care during the first year of practice while transitioning from academic preparation to independent professional practice. With support from preceptors, experienced RNs, and Sentara's nurse residency and onboarding program, the RN assesses patients, contributes to care plans, administers medications, documents in the electronic health record, and builds clinical judgment, confidence, and safe practice habits. As competencies are validated, the RN takes on greater autonomy and patient complexity.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $36.00 - $36.00 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
