This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division.What you will get to do:The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability.Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the followingCollaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifactsWork with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs designHelp develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the modelContribute to system requirements development, management, and analysisDevelop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)The candidate will have experience in generation or review of design artifacts to support System Safety analyses utilized in maturing weapons system design for safety and support flight test and flight worthiness of complex systemsBasic Qualifications:Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needExperience using MIL-STD-882E or similar processes for hardware and/or software design development1 years' experience with C/C++, Java, object-oriented design, or similar experienceExperience in software safety process (MIL-STD-882E, AOP 51, 91-710, JSSSEH)Possess fundamental knowledge of system safety principles to develop safety documentation such as a System Safety Program Plan (SSPP), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), System/Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SHA/SSHA)Familiarity with AGILEPreferred Qualifications:2+ years' System Safety Engineering experience conducting comprehensive system safety analyses IAW MIL-STD-882E, including Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), System Hazard Analysis (SHA), and Operating & Support Hazard Analysis (O&SHA) to ensure compliance and mitigate operational risksExecute developed processes in Engineering and Manufacturing Development PhaseSoftware development or coding experience2+ Experience using DO-178 for design developmentExperience developing in an Agile environmentExperience with requirements tools such such as DOORS, Cameo, Agile software tools, JIRA, and/or ConfluenceExperience in Hardware/Software IntegrationScrum Master/ Product OwnerSoftware Safety- Experience with developing, reviewing, updating, and approving system safety artifacts and system safety requirementsModel Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experienceExperience developing missile flight systems softwareAssociate Safety Professional (ASP) / Certified Safety Professional (CSP) CertificateWeapon System experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience)Position BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee DiscountsSalary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00Annual bonuses may be awarded.
