JOB SUMMARY
The Sergeant (Deputy Marshal) provides supervisory and operational support within the City Marshal's Department. This role is responsible for patrol operations in City parks and facilities, enforcement of ordinances and state laws, emergency response, training compliance, and oversight of Deputy Marshal activities. The position serves as a shift supervisor and acts in the City Marshal's absence, ensuring safe park environments, consistent enforcement practices, and coordinated response with internal and external agencies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires lifting up to 100 pounds regularly. Additional physical demands include standing, walking, running, sitting, crouching, crawling, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, kneeling, bending, twisting, and climbing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed outdoors in City parks and facilities, year-round, in a variety of weather conditions. The role involves exposure to potentially hazardous situations and variable schedules, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and occasional night work. This is a safety-sensitive role.
