Utilizes advanced techniques in criminal investigations Maintains a close working relationship with all Department personnel, prosecutor's office, and the college community Conducts thorough interview/interrogations of suspects and victims Maintains sound judgment within guidelines set by State law, city policy, and department policy in situations of high stress and danger

Supervision Exercised
Sergeant/Investigator will supervise Police Aids that are monitoring reserved parking lots. Under direction/supervision of the Police Lieutenant, serves as investigator of criminal offenses reported within the Laredo College jurisdiction.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Work Environment
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Work inside a well-lighted and air-conditioned area most of the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Special Conditions
