Job Title: Server Administrator
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (100% Onsite Position Monday - Friday)
Duration: Contract, 1-2 years long-term
Start date: 2/9/26
Pay range: $46-$50/hr W2 DOE & PTO/Holiday Package
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain systems and the hosted services through continued monitoring, coordination of data backup, system troubleshooting and proactive security measures.
Support the effort to implement advanced cybersecurity controls and monitoring.
Support the evaluation of user requests or design specifications for new or modified application functionality and estimate efforts required. Analyze, design, code, test, document, implement and maintain application changes.
Experience Requirements:
Associate degree in information systems, computer science, engineering or a related field; or the equivalent combination education and experience.
(Minimum 5 years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates who do not possess an associate degree.)
5+ years of experience with administration and support of technology systems as outlined below:
Experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, or support of the following applications is preferred (the more the better).
Software inventory, event reporting (heavy use and configuration to accomplish the software inventory and software event information)
Technical expertise in managing applications in a Windows Active Directory Domain with Standard hardware, VMware virtual hardware, HyperV virtual hardware.
BMC remedy and/or Lansweeper for asset management and change management
Syslog and QRadar (for SIEM log aggregation, log management, and event reporting of all software applications active in the production environment)
Nexpose, IP360 and/or Nessus for vulnerability scanning (configuration, report generation, etc)
TripWire for network intrusion detection
Carbon Black for allow listing
Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server 2016-2025 and Windows applications
Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with PowerShell is preferred
Server and client administration to include patching, hardening and performance tuning
Proficient in technical documentation
Preferred experience:
Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts is preferred
Knowledge in cyber security and experience implementing CIS CSC Top 20, NIST 800, TSA cyber-security directive or other security control sets is preferred.
Familiarity with remote support and troubleshooting is preferred.
CompTIA A+ or a more advanced certificate is preferred
Willing to work overtime hours when required by project schedule for completion of target dates.
