What You'll Do

Join our dynamic Waitstaff team and be instrumental in providing outstanding dining experiences for our residents, members, clients, and guests.

AFC Workforce Center

This position is part of the Workforce Center, a dedicated team of employees who provide flexible staffing support across multiple communities. Workforce Center employees help ensure seamless coverage during vacations, extended leaves, and staffing shortages. This role is assignment-based and training will be provided.

Shifts Available
  • Call-In (Work less than 20 hours per week) Minimum of 2 shifts per month; Day or Evening Shift

Pay Range
  • $18.18 Hourly

Responsibilities

  • Greets all guests and takes beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Prepares food and beverages for service to residents and guests in compliance with all health and safety regulations and presentation standards.
  • Accurately enters orders into the POS system.
  • Serves food and beverages to residents and guests with accuracy in a courteous, timely, and professional manner, meeting or exceeding guest service standards and expectations.
  • Works with and follows up with Supervisors and Managers to address and respond to residents' concerns and requests in regard to food quality, service, and related matters.
  • Provides Managers and Supervisors with continuous feedback from residents on food preparation, presentation, and taste.
  • Performs side-work and other opening or closing duties as required.
  • Ensures that waitstaff stations are clean and maintained throughout the shift.
  • Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situation such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
  • Interacts with residents/clients and co-workers with patience, understanding and kindness in accordance with Arcadia Family of Companies' mission and core values.

Education/Experience

High school graduate preferred. Prior customer service experience preferred.

Computer Skills

Use of computers, working knowledge of POS system and software applications to input and research data.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; push and pull. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally transfer up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
