The Server Assistant (Busser), plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dining room, providing essential support to our servers and creating a positive experience for our guests.
Essential Functions:
- Table Maintenance: Clearing and resetting tables promptly and efficiently after guests depart, ensuring they are clean, dry, and properly set with silverware, glassware, and any necessary condiments.
- Pre-Bussing: Assisting servers by removing finished plates, glassware, and other unnecessary items from tables during service to maintain a tidy dining environment.
- Station Maintenance: Keeping server stations clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies such as clean linens, silverware, straws, napkins, and condiments.
- Floor Maintenance: Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the dining area, including sweeping or vacuuming up spills, debris, and broken items promptly.
- Assisting Servers: Running food and drinks to tables accurately and efficiently, as directed by servers.
- Water Service: Ensuring water glasses are filled and refilled discreetly and attentively.
- Opening and Closing Duties: Assisting with opening and closing tasks as assigned, which may include setting up tables, polishing silverware, stocking service areas, and cleaning duties.
- Communication: Communicating effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service and address any guest needs.
- Adherence to Standards: Following all restaurant policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Other Tasks:
- Assisting with light cleaning tasks in other areas of the restaurant as needed.
- Emptying trash and recycling receptacles.
- Restocking restrooms with necessary supplies.
- Assisting with special events or private parties as required.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
- No prior experience is typically required; however, previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
