Server Banquet

Overview:

The Event Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to event guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists with proper event space setup per diagram.
2. Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner and serves menu selections to tables
using proper service techniques.
3. Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol
beverage control policies.

4. Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing dining
process.
5. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling
water glasses, and being alert to guest spills or other special needs.
6. Maintain a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, including ingredients,
preparation methods, and serving recommendations, and use this knowledge to make
menu suggestions and provide exceptional service to guests.
7. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per Amaterra and Oregon state health guidelines.
8. Performs general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by the
supervisor to adhere to health standards.
9. Must adhere to all local, state, federal, and company liquor regulations pertaining to
serving alcoholic beverages to minors or intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being
followed.
10. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and punctuality.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and
experience.
2. ServSafe certification and Food Handler certification.
3. Alcohol Awareness Certification.
