Hotel AKA Boston Common is hiring for a Part-Time Server for The Bosworth!

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in our fine dining establishment.

Responsibilites:

• Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommend items to enhance the dining experience through effective upselling techniques.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and courtesy to maintain high guest relations.
• Process payments accurately using cash handling procedures and basic math skills.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
• Assist in training new staff members on service standards and restaurant policies as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus.
• Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous for better communication with kitchen staff.
• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to foster positive interactions with guests and team members alike.
