Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a friendly and dependable Server to join our dining team at Hillcrest Grand Lodge in Papillion, NE.

What You'll Do

As a Server, you will use your menu knowledge and customer-service skills to provide residents with a great dining experience. You will help create a clean, welcoming, and organized environment while delivering meals with professionalism and care.

You will:

  • Set up and break down continental breakfast service.

  • Stock dining products and supplies to appropriate par levels.

  • Brew coffee and maintain beverage service areas.

  • Present menu options, take food orders, and deliver meals promptly and courteously using the point-of-sale system.

  • Provide friendly, respectful service while helping residents and guests feel welcomed.

  • Complete daily checklists and assigned dining service tasks.

  • Clean dining rooms, tables, bistro spaces, and service areas throughout the shift.

  • Follow food safety, infection-control, sanitation, and service standards.

  • Assist with deep-cleaning equipment and maintaining a clean ice cream machine.

  • Maintain an organized, safe, and inviting dining environment.

  • Participate in team meetings and support other dining service needs as assigned.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is dependable, service-minded, and enjoys helping others. The right candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering a welcoming dining experience.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Previous serving, restaurant, hospitality, senior living, or dining service experience preferred, but not required.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and cleanliness.

  • A respectful, team-oriented approach when working with residents, guests, and coworkers.

  • Comfort using technology and point-of-sale systems.

Education & Credentials

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous dining service or hospitality training preferred.

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

  • Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

  • Must be able to follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control practices.

  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.

  • Other duties as assigned.
