Welcome to Birdies
Birdies Icehouse, located at East River 9, is one of Houston's most exciting destinations for sports, socializing, and scratch-made eats. The venue features stunning views of the Houston skyline, all set in a laid-back, high-energy atmosphere. Guests can step off the course and into Birdies Icehouse to enjoy house-made burgers, fresh tacos, ice-cold beer, and handcrafted cocktails. Whether celebrating a big win or just soaking in the vibe, Birdies is where great food, great views, and great times come together.

The Role
Our servers bring that vibe to every table. You'll welcome guests coming off the course, fresh from a pickleball match, or settling in for the game, and keep the burgers, tacos, and cold drinks coming. It's fast, it's social, and no two shifts look the same. If you like people, move with purpose, and enjoy being part of a crew that has each other's backs, you'll fit right in.

Compensation: hourly wage plus tips.

What You'll Do

• Set up and maintain your section, indoors and out, with attention to cleanliness and presentation

• Welcome guests, share the menu, and recommend food, drinks, and specials based on what they're in the mood for

• Take orders accurately and keep scratch-made food and drinks moving on time, even during big games and busy weekends

• Answer menu questions and suggest pairings, add-ons, and a round for the table

• Present checks and process payments accurately

What We're Looking For

• Serving or guest-facing experience preferred, especially in a high-volume or outdoor setting

• Comfort using a POS system and handling payments

• Friendly, patient, guest-first attitude

• Clear communication and a genuine team mindset

• Attention to cleanliness and safety

• TABC Seller-Server Certification and Texas Food Handler Certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for full shifts, including outdoors in Houston weather

• Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and brunch shifts
