Our client is seeking a Server & Infrastructure Engineer that will be responsible for the administration, reliability, and ongoing optimization of the organization's core server, virtualization, storage, and cloud platforms. This role ensures the availability, performance, security, and recoverability of enterprise systems that support critical business operations in a production‑driven environment.


The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth across Windows, Linux, virtualization, storage, and cloud services, along with the ability to support production systems, collaborate across IT teams, and maintain high operational standards.

Responsibilities:

Server & Platform Administration

  • Administer enterprise storage systems including SAN and NAS.
  • Manage and support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
  • Perform capacity planning, lifecycle management, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows and Linux server environments (physical, virtual, and cloud‑hosted)

Cloud & Hybrid Services

  • Support hybrid identity, authentication, and cloud‑based workloads.
  • Administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Security, Resilience & Compliance

  • Support vulnerability remediation and audit/compliance activities.
  • Design, test, and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Apply infrastructure security best practices, including identity protection, least‑privilege access, logging, and monitoring.

Collaboration & Project Support

  • Support production systems and manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in after‑hours support for critical outages, maintenance windows, and upgrades.
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects involving system design, evaluation, and implementation.
  • Work closely with networking, security, application, and support teams to ensure seamless integration.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • All education levels considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing SAN/NAS storage platforms.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure security principles.
  • Proven experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Ability to document standards, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability architectures.
  • 3–5 years of experience in server, virtualization, or infrastructure engineering roles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
  • IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation or configuration management tools.

Work Expectations:

  • Ability to follow established procedures, change control, and escalation processes.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve operational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior staff and cross‑functional teams.
  • Availability to support after‑hours incidents, production‑impacting issues, and scheduled maintenance.
