Job Overview

Our Summer season is about to begin!
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in a fine dining environment. As a Host/Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional culinary/dining experiences with one-of-a-kind personal service
• Be an excellent communicator both with the guest and the culinary team in the kitchen
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated to the kitchen staff effectively.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets fine dining standards.
• Provide attentive guest services by checking in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle basic math calculations for order totals and process payments accurately.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation.
• Must be able to quickly learn the beverage offerings and work closely with the sommelier to smoothly recommend wines and craft cocktails.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including the server station.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while serving food and beverages.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is required.
• Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating an enjoyable dining experience.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and order calculations.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy periods.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift trays or dishes as needed.
