Summary Description:

Under the direction of the Dining Room Supervisor, the Server is responsible for creating an enjoyable dining experience for our residents and their guests.  Follows established order and style of service while serving in the Main Dining Room and at special functions.  Performs assigned side duties.  Follows all safety and sanitation rules and regulations.  Responsible for clearing dishes, bussing and resetting tables.  Maintains a clean, neat appearance.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates the ability tocourteously serve all residents and their guests, and answer any dining relatedquestions.
• Offers specials and completes the order by asking appropriate questions to the customer in order to make their meal complete.
• Maintains Dining Room and work areas in a clean and orderly manner at all times according to department standards as observed by random inspections.
• Handles all glassware and silverware in a safe and sanitary manner and resets table according to procedures.
• Assists other departmentalstaff with assigned duties and training with or without verbal requests.Performs duties in an independent manner with minimal need for directsupervision as observed by supervisor.
• Makes suggestions forimprovement in food and service and participates in mandatory and regularmeetings, provides input-feedback
• Workharmoniously and cooperatively within a team structure. Collaborating withco-workers while remaining positive and respectful at all times. This includesdelivering on resident and guest functions, activities and promotions

Qualifications

Preferred Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

• Previous customer service of at least 6 months
