The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Angelina's Kitchen to find qualified candidates for a Server position in Staten Island, New York. Angelina's Kitchen is a family-owned Italian restaurant in Staten Island known for its authentic Italian cuisine, warm hospitality, and welcoming dining atmosphere. The restaurant emphasizes high-quality ingredients, traditional recipes, and exceptional customer service while creating a positive experience for every guest.

Position Overview:

The Server provides exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming dining experience from the moment guests arrive until their visit is complete. This role is responsible for taking accurate food and beverage orders, serving meals and drinks promptly, answering questions about the menu, and processing payments. The Server also maintains a clean dining area and works closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure efficient and accurate service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

 

The position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive customer service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Explain menu items and daily specials and make recommendations.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly.
• Enter orders into the POS system and process cash and credit card payments accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and team members to ensure timely, accurate service.
• Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver a positive guest experience.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of serving experience in a busy restaurant.
• Bilingual in both English and Italian is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and menu items preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Must have open availability, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Pay Range: USD $17.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
