The Server is the primary driver of the guest experience and the steward of their section from start to finish, operating with versatility, awareness, and full ownership. This role extends beyond a defined job title, requiring the ability to step into any part of the dining room to ensure seamless service, whether guiding a wine selection, running food, maintaining tables, or supporting the bar and coffee program. Each Server is entrusted with a designated station and is ultimately responsible for its performance, flow, and overall guest experience, acting as the leader of their section while coordinating with the team, anticipating needs, and executing every detail with intention. More than simply delivering service, the Server creates experiences that feel personal, thoughtful, and memorable, with the expectation not just to satisfy guests, but to leave a lasting impact .
Guest Experience & Hospitality
Deliver sincere, engaging hospitality with a natural ability to read the table and adapt service style accordingly
Create personalized, memorable experiences that extend beyond transactional service
Maintain a strong presence on the floor, ensuring guests feel seen, cared for, and valued at all times
Anticipate needs before they arise and resolve issues with confidence and professionalism
Product Knowledge & Salesmanship
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all food, beverage, and menu offerings, including daily features and modifications
Confidently guide guests through the menu with clear, engaging descriptions and thoughtful recommendations
Demonstrate strong beverage knowledge across wine, spirits, beer, and cocktails, with the ability to upsell naturally and effectively
Stay current on menu changes, availability, and operational updates
Section Ownership & Service Execution
Take full accountability for the success of assigned tables and overall section performance
Coordinate and pace service effectively in collaboration with support staff and kitchen flow
Ensure exceptional table maintenance throughout the dining experience, including cleanliness, timing, and organization
Lead the service within the section, acting as the central point of communication between guests and the team
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Work in full alignment with support staff, food runners, and bar team to execute seamless service
Assist in running food, clearing, resetting tables, and supporting all areas of the dining room as needed
Actively support and elevate team performance by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and leading by example
Communicate clearly and respectfully with all team members to maintain a strong service flow
Operational Excellence
Maintain preparedness through proper mise en place, organization, and attention to detail
Ensure side stations are stocked, clean, and service-ready at all times
Uphold all service standards, procedures, and expectations consistently
Perform additional responsibilities as directed by management to support overall operations
