The Server Virtualization Engineer III will lead the design, implementation, and management of the organization's Virtual server infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the server environment, as well as providing support for related services such as virtualization, server provisioning, and performance monitoring.

Essential Job Statements

Lead the design and implementation of Virtualserver solutions to meet business requirements

Oversee the management and maintenance of the Virtualserver environment, includingESXihosts and vCenter Server.

Monitor and troubleshoot complex server issues, ensuring high availability and performance.

Implement and manage virtualization solutions to ensure efficient resourceutilization.

Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware server solutions with other systems andApplications.

Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for server management.

Participate in the server build process

Participate in server installation within data centers, including rack and stack activities

Mentor and train junior team members.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.

Assistin the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT operational systems

Employment Qualifications

RequiredEducation:Bachelor'sdegree

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, InformationSystemsor a relateddegree.

Licensing/ Certification

Licensure/Certification Required: Virtual Server Certification (example:Vmwareassociate,broadcomvirtual, or equivalent etc.)

Licensure/CertificationPreferred: VirtualizationCertifiedProfessional

Minimum Qualifications

Years and Type of Required Experience: 6+ years of experience in managing and supporting Virtual server environments. Expertisein advanced Virtual server technologies, including physical and virtual servers. Extensive experience with system monitoring, performance tuning tools, and automation. Proventrack recordof leading large-scale Virtual server projects and initiatives. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially for complex server issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Extensive experience with server provisioning and performance monitoring tools. Extensive experience with system monitoring, performance tuning tools, and automation.

Other Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities Required: N/A

Other Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities Preferred: In-depth knowledge of data protection and disaster recovery principles and best practices. Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or CIS. Extensive experience with server virtualization and software-defined server solutions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Hands-on experience with virtualization management and implementation. Experience in integrating server solutions with other IT systems and applications. Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Expertisein VMware technologies, includingESXiand vCenter Server.

Combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree.

Working Conditions: Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. General office environment. Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions. May have periods of constant interruptions. Prolonged periods of working alone.
