The VISTA Volunteer will serve as Sage Mountain's Organizational Capacity & Development Coordinator, building the fundraising, grant management, evaluation, and community outreach systems that will sustain and expand our nature-based, Vermont Department for Children and Families-licensed youth programming for low-income families in rural Vermont. Day-to-day activities include: researching and writing grant proposals, building and maintaining donor databases, designing program evaluation tools, recruiting and managing volunteers, and developing marketing and outreach materials. This service will directly help break the cycle of poverty by expanding Sage Mountain's financial sustainability and ensuring more low-income youth and families can access specialized care, food security education, and ecological literacy programming long after VISTA service ends.
