German Auto Sport has been Berkeley’s independent German specialist for two decades. We got here because people who genuinely care about their cars found a shop that cares about them the same way — and then told everyone they knew.

We just finished a full remodel. New building, same standard. Now we’re looking for a Service Advisor to help lead our front of house as we grow into it.

You are the voice of the shop — the person our customers get to know, trust, and start asking for by name. You’ll walk them through what their car needs with warmth and clarity, and you’ll make the whole experience feel easy from the first phone call to the handshake at pickup.

You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll have skilled technicians, a dedicated parts manager, and a team that genuinely wants you to win.

Day to day, you’ll:

• Greet every customer and serve as their single point of contact throughout the visit

• Write clear, thorough estimates that make the decision an easy one

• Keep the day flowing — coordinate the schedule so our technicians stay in rhythm

• Work alongside our parts manager to keep jobs moving on time

• Follow up, check in, and turn first-time visitors into customers for life

• Grow the business the right way — honest recommendations, real relationships, zero pressure

• Two or more years as a service advisor in an independent repair shop

• Fluency in German makes — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, VW, Porsche (strongly preferred)

• Energy and optimism. You bring good mornings with you, and the team feels it.

• A natural communicator who can make a complicated repair make perfect sense

• Customer-centered by nature — you genuinely like people, and it shows in every interaction

• A go-getter with a strong production history and the drive to keep raising it

• High standards. You take pride in doing things properly, and it bothers you when they aren’t.

$125,000 – $175,000 per year. Where you land in that range grows with what you produce, and we’ll walk you through exactly how the pay plan works before you ever accept an offer. No guesswork.
