- Compensation: $60,000–$90,000 annually, including base pay plus commission
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, listen to vehicle concerns, and document service needs accurately.
- Create clear repair orders and communicate customer concerns, symptoms, and service requests to technicians.
- Provide accurate estimates for labor, parts, and recommended maintenance, and obtain customer authorization before work begins.
- Explain diagnostics, repairs, maintenance recommendations, warranty coverage, and service options in easy-to-understand language.
- Schedule service appointments, manage workflow, and help ensure vehicles move through the service process efficiently.
- Keep customers informed about repair status, additional findings, estimated completion times, and any changes in cost or scope.
- Coordinate with technicians, parts staff, and service management to support timely, high-quality repairs.
- Review completed work and final invoices with customers, answer questions, and process payments as needed.
- Follow up with customers after service to confirm satisfaction and encourage long-term customer relationships.
- Maintain accurate records, uphold company policies, and contribute to a clean, professional, and safe service environment.
- Additional task and responsibilities as required by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service, sales, or automotive service experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and automotive terminology.
- Comfort using computers, service management systems, scheduling tools, and standard office software.
- Ability to build trust with customers and maintain a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a service advisor, service writer, parts advisor, technician, or dealership/repair shop team member.
- Familiarity with warranty procedures, service contracts, or manufacturer maintenance schedules.
- Experience working with customer satisfaction goals, sales targets, or service department performance metrics.
- Automotive certifications or manufacturer training are a plus.

Schedule and Work Environment
This position is typically performed in a service drive, customer waiting area, and office setting, with regular interaction with the repair shop. Schedule will include weekdays, rotating Saturdays, and extended service hours depending on business needs. The role will require standing, walking, using a computer, and moving vehicles.
