About the Role:
Herb's Garage in Costa Mesa, CA is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team! This is your chance to be the face of a trusted auto repair shop, guiding customers through their vehicle service experience with confidence and care. Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the vehicle service process
• Listen to customer concerns, accurately document vehicle issues, and create detailed repair orders
• Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and estimates clearly to customers
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of services
• Follow up with customers on vehicle status updates and obtain approvals for additional repairs
• Upsell recommended maintenance services and parts to support shop revenue goals
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in automotive customer service preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance terminology
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced shop environment
• Experience with shop management software or point-of-sale systems is a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to customer satisfaction
