Position Summary

Knight Group is seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with vehicle maintenance and repair needs, and coordinating communication between customers and service technicians.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced automotive dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with their automotive service needs.

• Schedule appointments and prepare accurate repair orders.

• Listen to customer concerns and communicate vehicle issues to service technicians.

• Recommend maintenance and repair services based on vehicle needs and technician recommendations.

• Explain repair estimates, service recommendations, and completion timelines.

• Maintain communication with customers regarding vehicle status and repair progress.

• Coordinate with technicians and service management to ensure timely completion of repairs.

• Review completed repair orders and explain services and charges to customers.

• Address customer questions and concerns professionally.

• Maintain accurate customer records and service documentation.

• Meet dealership performance, sales, and customer satisfaction goals.

• Follow dealership policies, safety procedures, and professional standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive Service Advisor experience preferred.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• General knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.

• Strong computer skills; dealership management system experience preferred.

• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record if required for job duties.

• Availability to work Saturdays as scheduled.

Compensation & Pay Scale

The Automotive Service Advisor position has a compensation structure consisting of the following:

• Base Hourly Compensation: $16.90 per hour.

• Commission Compensation: Additional commissions based on the value or amount of closed sales. Commissions may range from $0.00, if no qualifying sales are made, with no fixed maximum other than individual sales performance.

Actual compensation will vary based on sales performance, production results, and the dealership's established compensation plan.
