Overview
Group 1 CJDR of Rockwall is seeking a customer-focused and results-driven Service Advisor to join our growing service team. This role serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from vehicle check-in through completion of repairs.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for automotive service, capable of building trust with customers while driving service department performance.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, identifying vehicle service needs
- Communicate recommended services, timelines, and costs clearly and accurately
- Create and manage repair orders, ensuring all information is complete and documented
- Serve as liaison between customers and service technicians
- Provide regular updates to customers on service progress and any changes
- Upsell additional services, maintenance, and repairs when appropriate
- Ensure timely completion of service work and coordinate vehicle delivery
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of manufacturer guidelines, warranties, and service processes
- Meet or exceed individual and department performance goals
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in automotive customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance services
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (CDK experience a plus)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications a plus
