A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Service & Maintenance Technician - Lifting and Maintenance at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our lifting equipment. Your day will involve inspecting, registering, and maintaining lifting systems, as well as carrying out servicing, repairs, and electrical safety tests in line with manufacturer specifications. You'll work in a collaborative team environment, contributing directly to the efficiency and safety of our operations. This position offers comprehensive training and excellent opportunities for professional development. It is located in New London, CT.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Inspect, register, and maintain existing and new lifting equipment.
  • Perform installation, fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Conduct scheduled servicing of lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Prioritize safety by following all HSE policies and best practices.
  • Apply strong mechanical knowledge-particularly in hydraulics-to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Support the calibration of electrical and hydraulic tools and perform electrical safety testing.

What You Bring

  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with PCs and MS Office applications.
  • A logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance, including breakdown support, fault finding, and repair.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required.
