    Description

    Position Overview:
    The Service Contract Support Specialist will provide on-site support to the Facilities Management Service (FMS) at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. 8 years' experience is required; higher education is not a requirement. The specialist will assist in the creation, administration, and oversight of service contracts critical to facility operations, ensuring compliance with VA and federal requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Conduct market research on vendors to support facilities service requirements.
    - Develop scopes of work, estimates, and administrative documentation for contract procurement.
    - Coordinate with facilities staff and operational personnel to schedule and execute contracted work.
    - Provide inspection support, contractor escort services, and quality verification of service delivery.
    - Prepare written documentation, inspection reports, and technical input for FMS staff.

    Required Qualifications:
    - Minimum of 8 years hands-on, multi-disciplinary facilities operations and/or construction experience at a General Foreman level or higher.
    - Demonstrated experience managing contract tasks across multiple disciplines for large-scale facilities.
    - OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification (completed within the last 5 years).
    - Effective communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and brief management personnel.

    Background Requirements:
    - Must be able to successfully pass a Tier 1 (NACI) VA background investigation.
