This position provides professional support to individuals with disabilities whove selected PICS as their provider for 245D basic services. The position requires regular interaction with a variety of individuals including participants and their families, county staff, other provider agencies, and internal PICS staff. This is a hybrid work schedule, working from home 75% of the time, and 25% out in the community attending participant annual meetings. Service coordinators work with participants and their families providing education of program requirements, processing enrollments, renewals, attending participant annual team meetings, and managing the overall service delivery process.
Job Requirements:
- Four year college degree; social services coursework is desired.
- A minimum of two years of training and experience working with people with disabilities and their families and experience in a waivered service program coordination/management.
- Knowledge of consumer directed services and the resources and support available to clients is desired.
- A valid drivers license, acceptable driving record and a Motor Vehicle Check. Must be able to travel locally to meet with families.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency working with numbers.
- Ability to be well organized, detail oriented and perform a variety of on-going tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
- Able to write policies/articles/presentations for public use.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the community.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret Department of Human Services' policies and regulations as well as applicable state and federal laws related to service delivery under Individualized Home Supports (IHS).
