Palmer Johnson is seeking a dependable and motivated Service Coordinator in our Santa Fe Springs, CA location. The Service Coordinator is responsible for providing service-related solutions to our customers by working with our service team to schedule service, order and pick parts, and assist with moving equipment and parts throughout the shop. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both customer interaction and active, physical work.

About the Role
The Service Coordinator role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working with both people and equipment, and staying active throughout the day. The position works closely with customers, technicians, and Service Managers to ensure parts, equipment, and service operations are completed accurately and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Manage service orders, quotes, and ticketing system tasks (OTRS)
- Source, price, and order parts; resolve discrepancies with vendors
- Monitor service progress, labor accuracy, and documentation
- Support technicians and Service Managers to ensure efficient operations
- Receive, unload, sort, stage, transport and place incoming orders.
- Pick, pack and load out-going orders.
- Process all related paperwork as required by internal procedures.
- Perform inventory control procedures including periodic cycle counts.
- Safely operate forklift and/or other lifting devices.
- Schedule and coordinate in-shop and field service work
What You Bring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency
- 2+ years of work experience in customer service, preferably in an industrial or technical environment
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and understand assembly manuals, drawings, and schematics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Positive attitude, ability to work independently, and desire to work in a collaborative environment
