Position Overview
As a Service Electrician at QES, you will handle a variety of residential and commercial electrical service calls, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair jobs. You will play an essential role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through professionalism, technical expertise, clear communication, and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical problems in residential and commercial environments.
- Perform electrical installations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
- Conduct electrical safety inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with customers, clearly explaining issues, recommended solutions, and costs.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Adhere to local and national electrical codes (NEC), safety regulations, and company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining a positive image for the company.
- Collaborate closely with dispatch and office staff to efficiently manage appointments, materials, and project timelines.
Requirements
- Valid Tennessee Electrical License (Journeyman Electrician or Limited Licensed Electrician preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a service electrician handling residential and/or commercial electrical repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional communication.
- Comfortable using technology, such as digital work orders, scheduling software, and mobile applications.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
