We are seeking a senior design engineer to support building automation and controls delivery for critical facility infrastructure. This role involves technical review of vendor submittal packages and producing submittal packages directly as the business grows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10 years of experience in controls design, producing complete design packages including sequences of operations, points lists, controls schematics, riser and network architecture diagrams, panel and device schedules, and specifications.
Experience in submittal review against a design standard, including reviewing vendor and integrator submittals, shop drawings, and controls programming for compliance with design intent.
Hands-on experience with building automation protocols and controls platforms, specifically BACnet and Modbus, and DDC and PLC controls platforms.
Controls design experience in mission-critical, data center, or critical facility environments.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
Experience authoring or maintaining controls design standards across a portfolio of projects.
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems as they relate to controls integration.
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Review vendor submittals, checking sequences of operations, points lists, controls schematics, riser and network architecture diagrams, panel and device schedules, and product data against controls design standards and design intent.
Issue comments and track them to closure through package revisions.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and facility engineering counterparts on design reviews, RFIs, and field issues.
Produce submittal packages directly, following the structure and rigor used for EPMS submittals.
