Overview

Microsoft Digital (MSD) builds and manages the critical products and services that Microsoft runs on. We boldly pursue big ideas that power transformational advances at Microsoft and for our customers, while helping Microsoft teams work smarter, faster, and more securely every day. Microsoft Digital employees have deep technical and business expertise, customer insights, and a clear point of view that comes from first-hand, large-scale experience with Microsoft and industry solutions. We are engineers, technology leaders and experts, digital transformation change agents, and customer advocates.

We have exciting opportunities for you to innovate, influence, transform, inspire, and grow within our organization and we encourage you to apply to learn more!

We are hiring a Service Engineer II - A365 and AI Admin to deliver A365 and AI Administration for the MSD M365 MultiTenant team. You will help administer, implement, and evolve how we configure, govern, and operate the Microsoft 365 and AI administration control planes, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, across Microsofts internal tenants. You will partner closely with software engineers to develop and operate Microsoft Graph-based automation, policy-as-code solutions, and governance capabilities that enforce configuration baselines, detect drift, and help mitigate administration and AI-related risks at scale. The role interfaces across Microsoft 365 workloads while maintaining a primary focus on A365 and AI Administration capabilities.

This opportunity will allow you to build expertise in AI administration, governance, and security; develop hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph, automation, and multitenant operations; and help shape the operational foundations for Microsofts next generation of AI-enabled administration experiences. You will bring a security mindset to everything you operate, including administrative permissions, data access boundaries, policy enforcement, and audit telemetry as part of your daily responsibilities.

Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • You will develop and maintain automation using Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, APIs, and policy-driven tooling to improve consistency, reduce manual administration effort, and support fleet-scale operations.
  • You will monitor service health, audit events, usage telemetry, and operational signals across M365 and AI administration surfaces; investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
  • You will participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and service improvement activities for platforms and capabilities owned by the team.
  • You will partner with software engineers, security engineers, and service owners to implement governance requirements, configuration baselines, and operational best practices across multiple tenants.
  • You will contribute to documentation, operational runbooks, and engineering standards that improve the reliability, security, and scalability of A365 and AI administration services.
  • Embody our culture and values.
