The Service Engineer is a critical part of post-sales support and needs to demonstrate exceptional technical aptitude in working with server products in addition to excellent interpersonal skills. It requires the ability to Support our Global Service network and help build a world‑class field engineering organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform onsite and remote troubleshooting of complex Supermicro systems in enterprise data center environmentsDiagnose and resolve hardware issues involving GPUs, CPUs, memory, NVMe, NICs, and interconnectsExecute hardware diagnostics, system validation, and root cause analysisCoordinate RMA processes and spare parts logisticsManage and resolve service tickets using Salesforce or similar ticketing systemsSupport GPU platforms such as NVIDIA HGX/DGX-based systemsTroubleshoot GPU-related issues (ECC errors, thermal throttling, driver mismatches)Collaborate with Technical Account Managers, Service Managers, and Project Managers to support assigned customer accountsTravel to customer data centers to support deployments, perform break‑fix activities, and train team members (up to 20%)Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience preferred3‑5+ years' experience in enterprise data center operations3‑5+ years' experience working with server, storage, compute and network hardware3‑5+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking infrastructure3‑5+ years' experience in inventory management, and ordering, receiving and shipping server and network equipmentPhysical Requirements Work is often performed in data center environment and physical dexterity is necessary to perform job functionsAbility to lift to 30‑50lbs. unassistedComfortable working in an environment requiring exposure to noiseAvailable to work weekends, as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is requiredPreferred Qualifications Familiarity with GPU platforms such as NVIDIA DGX or HGX architectureStrong Linux skills, including system navigation, package management, process management, and basic scriptingExperience being on‑call and ability to respond to critical events as neededExcellent prioritization and time management skillsSalary Range $70,500 - $100,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
