My client is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled CNC Service Engineer to provide onsite installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support for advanced CNC machine tools within a designated local service territory. This customer-facing position is based out of Allendale, New Jersey, and requires regular local travel to manufacturing facilities throughout the region.

Description
The key responsibilities of the CNC Service Engineer are:
- Install, start up, and commission CNC machine tools at customer locations.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control system issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment evaluations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine performance, accuracy, and operational concerns.
- Interpret electrical schematics, machine drawings, and technical documentation.
- Provide customer training on machine operation, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding machine status, repair recommendations, and service requirements.
- Support customers remotely via phone, email, and other communication platforms when appropriate.
- Collaborate with technical support, applications, parts, and engineering teams to resolve complex machine issues.
- Maintain service tools, equipment, and company-provided assets in good working condition.
- Adhere to all company and customer safety requirements.

Profile
The successful CNC Service Engineer will have:
- Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience servicing CNC machine tools, industrial automation equipment, or related manufacturing systems.
- Experience working in Swiss or Lathe CNC Machines
- Knowledge of GCode, MCode, CNC Programming
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of servo systems, motors, drives, spindle systems, and CNC controls.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel locally on a regular basis and occasionally outside the assigned territory as needed.
