Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of diesel technicians in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Assign and prioritize repair orders to maximize shop productivity and efficiency.
Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and difficult repairs.
Perform quality control inspections to ensure repairs meet OEM and dealership standards.
Coordinate with Service Advisors and Parts personnel to minimize downtime and improve communication.
Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and comeback prevention.
Train, mentor, and develop technicians to improve skill levels and performance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, dealership policies, and manufacturer procedures.
Help manage shop scheduling, workflow, and repair turnaround times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
5+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience.
Previous leadership, lead technician, or foreman experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic skills with International trucks, Cummins, Navistar, and other heavy-duty diesel platforms.
Experience with OEM diagnostic software and repair procedures.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
ASE certifications and/or International OEM certifications are a plus.
