This can be a starting point for a career in automotive service, including future opportunities in service advising, technician development, or other dealership positions.Key Responsibilities- Assist Service Advisors with the vehicle check-in and write-up process- Help complete the initial inspection of customer vehicles- Perform basic visual inspections of vehicles for existing damage, tire condition, lights, warning indicators, and other visible concerns- Safely park and move customer vehicles throughout the dealership and service lot- Help manage the flow of vehicles coming into and leaving the Service Department- Retrieve customer vehicles and bring them to the Service Drive for pickup- Assist with customer vehicle deliveries when needed- Maintain an organized Service Drive and surrounding areas- Follow all dealership safety procedures and vehicle-handling policies- Provide a professional and courteous experience for every customer- Assist Service Advisors and Management with daily Service Department needs- Perform other Service Department duties as neededWhat We're Looking For- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record- Reliable and dependable attendance- Strong attention to detail- Good communication and organizational skills- Comfortable working with customers and dealership employees- Ability to safely operate and move a variety of vehicles- Basic knowledge of automobiles is preferred, but not required- Previous dealership or automotive experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right personWhy This Position MattersThis is more than a traditional porter position.
