A leading healthcare organization in Westchester County is seeking an experienced Service Line Director, Gastroenterology (GI) to provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership for a growing Gastroenterology service line. This executive-level leader will partner closely with physician, nursing, and administrative leadership to drive program growth, enhance patient outcomes, improve operational performance, and expand market presence across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, growth, and overall direction of the Gastroenterology service line.
  • Develop and execute business plans to increase market share, patient access, and service line performance.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational performance across GI, Endoscopy, and related specialty services.
  • Partner with physician leadership to enhance clinical quality, patient experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, productivity, revenue growth, and expense management.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize patient flow, scheduling, and resource utilization.
  • Drive program development and expansion of specialized GI services and community-based initiatives.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with marketing, business development, and physician relations teams to strengthen referral networks and community outreach.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

 

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Nursing (MSN), or a related healthcare field required.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, hospital administration, or physician practice management.
  • Prior experience within Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Digestive Health, Surgical Services, or another procedural specialty strongly preferred.
  • Proven success leading operational, financial, and strategic initiatives within a healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, quality improvement methodologies, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with physicians, executives, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

 

Salary: $180,000 - $250,000
