Service Manager

Our client is a leading distributor of waste industry equipment and vehicles, seeking a Service Manager in Ann Arbor/Lansing Michigan. The Service Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of a heavy truck maintenance and repair facility, overseeing a team of technicians, welders, and support staff while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality shop operations. This role manages workflow, develops standard operating procedures, monitors performance metrics and financial results, maintains vendor relationships, and drives continuous improvement in productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The ideal candidate has six or more years of heavy truck service management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and expertise in fleet maintenance, shop operations, KPI management, and repair processes, with dealership, Karmak, ASE, and CDL experience considered a plus.
