If you're ready to make an impact and contribute to a fun, dynamic, and results-driven Top Workplace … keep reading!Doherty is excitedto welcome a new Service Manager into the team in Sioux Falls, SD!The Service Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and leading all phases of successful service operations in two branch office locations - Sioux Falls, SD and Jackson, MN - and surrounding areas. This position is onsite, and our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Directly supervises 3-5 employees in the service area.* Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.* Interviews and hires new staff for the department.* Audits and monitors the activities of the service team in filling and servicing client orders. Designs and implements client specific performance tracking tools such as fill ratio reports, scorecards, etc. Runs and analyzes system reports to evaluate performance of team members.* Conducts performance evaluations and prepares professional development plans for staff in a timely manner. Set goals for team members and follows up with direct reports regularly.* Partners with Business Development Managers to develop and present service plans to prospects in an effort to close new business and implement new programs; completes corporate and Avionte set-up tasks for new accounts.* Responsible for continual development of existing accounts, including seeking opportunities in which other divisions (i.e., Top Talent and Career Solutions) might have business opportunities. Establishes rapport with client contacts and identifies opportunities for further growth within existing accounts.* Establishes a regular schedule of in-person visits to existing accounts.* Gathers and compiles service statistics to develop client performance reviews, as requested. Collaborates with the service team to create the final documents and take an active role in the presentation to the client.* Monitors and communicates temporary employee legal issues, including illegal harassments, suspensions, and non-business like conduct /behavior at client locations to DSS Headquarters and ccs manager.* Minimizes exposure to workers' compensation claims by contributing to a culture of safety at client sites; participates on safety committees when available and ensure that safety reviews are being conducted with employees. Conducts accident investigations and communicate appropriately to the Safety Department. Assists in assigning and monitoring transitional duty for employees with restrictions.* Reviews unemployment claims to minimize exposure and resulting expenses. Monitors job offers and unemployment activity of the team to make sure job offers are being made, recorded and reported to the state.* Reviews Drug and Background invoices for accuracy and informs Drug and Background Department of approval for processing.* Encourages and directly participates in community involvement programs (i.e., local chambers, non-profit organizations, etc.).* Stays abreast of changes in Federal and State employment laws. Ensures that all federal, state, local notices and licenses are current and posted in offices in the territory. Completes quarterly audits of offices to ensure compliance with all required postings.* Other duties may be assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS* Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.* Prior management or supervisory experience from the staffing industry.* Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Ability to deliver the highest quality customer service by exceeding client expectations and anticipating troublesome areas and addressing them appropriately.* Willingness to display a positive attitude and take an energetic approach to job duties and daily tasks with minimal guidance.* Open-mindedness and adaptability to new situations. Can readily accept changes and new ideas.* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as mark-ups, bill rates and percentages and other basic math skills.* Must be at work as scheduled and be available to clients outside of regular business hours.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSUp to 60% travel. Valid driver's license and proof of car insurance required.
